We have board-certified nuclear cardiologists to provide expert interpretation of your tests.

Experience

Cardiologists, P.C. Electrophysiology specialists perform over 100 cardiac ablation procedures each year.

During cardiac ablation, radio frequency energy is delivered through a catheter to the heart. Abnormal cells responsible for irregularly fast rhythms are destroyed by this energy. The success rate for cardiac ablation is greater than 90 percent and can result in a permanent cure for the patient.

Because of its success rate, this procedure allows the patient to forego the expense and potential side-effects of life-long medications.

Convenience

Testing Services, Holter Monitoring, and Event Monitoring assistance.

Pacemaker Monitoring and Testing Services are convenient at Cardiologists, P.C. You may choose to have us evaluate pacemaker functions via a telephone line from the comfort of your home, or in our on-site pacemaker monitoring lab. Each year, we check and verify the effectiveness of thousands of pacemakers.

Holter and Event Monitoring are simply ways of monitoring your heartbeat. Cardiologists, P.C. technicians assist our patients in recording their heart functions on a 24-hour basis via Holter Monitors.

Our technicians also work closely with those patients who are working with their cardiologists to identify specific cardiovascular problems. These are identified by wearing an Event Monitor which records changes in your heartbeat as you feel it change.

Patients may transmit the information to our technicians and cardiovascular physicians who specialize in Electrophysiology via telephone lines and computer links.

“Cardiologists, P.C. saved my life."

"I was visiting my daughter in the Cedar Rapids metro area when my family realized that my heart medications were not keeping my heart condition in check. One telephone call to Cardiologists, P.C. took care of the problem. They called my cardiologist in my home area, had my records sent to them and scheduled an immediate appointment for me.

The Cardiologist at Cardiologists, P.C. examined me and placed me in the hospital to closely monitor my condition and to definitely diagnose the problem. The angiogram showed that his initial assessment of my condition was correct. A blocked stent was threatening my life. Dr. Atay promptly opened the stent, and within a few days I was back to my normal routine."
